Package 03 · Streamline
Ops Cleanup
If jobs are waiting, getting redone, or stuck on one person, we follow a real job and take out the steps that are slowing it down.
When it fits
- You can point at a job, order, or client that should have moved and did not.
- The same correction happens more than once.
- Handoffs rely on memory, a chat thread, or one person’s head.
- A new system has been proposed as a way to avoid looking at the path.
When it does not
- You want a software rollout as the project.
- You want an org chart redesign or an enterprise process program.
- The real problem is that nobody wants the offer. That is demand, not throughput.
What you leave with
We will not install a stack to compensate for a path nobody has walked.
- The path of one real piece of work, written as it happens.
- The bottleneck: wait, rework, or handoff.
- Steps removed, not a thicker manual.
- A short SOP only where the same miss will happen without it.
- An owner for the step that used to belong to everyone.
How this package runs
01
Walk one real job
Not the slide. The last job that stalled. Where it entered, who touched it, where it sat.
02
Name the bottleneck
One place. If everything is “a priority,” nothing is the constraint.
03
Remove before you add
Cut a step, a rework loop, or a handoff. A tool is considered only after the path is shorter.
04
Write a short procedure only if people need it
A page, not a wiki. Only if the miss will recur without it. Otherwise the document is waste.
05
Put a name on the step
Done means the work moves without the old stall — not that a file exists in a folder.
What we need from you
- Permission to watch the real path, including the workaround everyone is slightly ashamed of.
- One recent job we can reconstruct.
- Who is allowed to stop doing a step.
After this package
If the stall was actually the inbox, the next conversation is Inbox & Workflow — not a second ops program. If demand was the limiter all along, we say that and do not pretend the floor was the problem.
Fee and calendar are agreed in writing before work starts. This page is not a quote and not a promise of a financial result.
